SHEET METAL WORKER

Compensation: $21-$25 an hour

Job title: Sheet Metal Warehouse Worker

Silvermark Construction is a family-owned and operated luxury home builder. We are currently in need of a warehouse person who can work with sheet metal.

The Sheet Metal Worker will fabricate and build various types of metal structures and equipment.

Duties/Responsibilities:
• Consults work orders to safely construct specified structure.
• Selects appropriate material for each job based on the desired or necessary strength.
• Cuts, bends, and shapes sheet metal to required dimensions.
• Measures, cuts, and welds pieces together according to specifications or directions.
• Connects pieces or secures seams by riveting, rolling, soldering, or using steel screws.
• Performs assigned work on assembly lines such as punching holes for screws or bending gutters.
• Uses appropriate machinery and software applications to complete assigned jobs.
• Coordinates required shutdowns and startups of equipment with other departments after sheet metal fabrication.
• Develops and maintains records for projects and repairs.
• Maintains clean and orderly workspace.
• Performs other related duties as assigned.

Required Skills/Abilities:
• Ability to complete sheet metal projects with accuracy and precision.
• Ability to safely use machinery and tools involved in sheet metal work.
• Ability to follow directions.
• Ability to read work orders to understand product assignment.

Education and Experience:
• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Prior sheet metal experience and/or training preferred.

Physical Requirements:
• Prolonged periods lifting, reaching, and working on scaffolding and overhead structures.
• Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds at times.
